I grew up in the replay.
When replay came back in 1999 in the NFL, I was fortunate enough to get a job as a game day assistant and work my way up.
14 years as a communicator, then seven as a replay assistant, then seven as a replay official.

Lag time for broadcasting is about five seconds into the homes.
Yes, in the 1 and 4 o'clock window, 1 o'clock window is usually 9 or 10 games.
4 o'clock is usually 5 or 6 games.
What we have is we have a replay assistant sitting at every station and then we have dedicated supervisors and decision makers for typically up to three games in the one and four o'clock window.
