But you make a good point about game one.
Don't read too much into game one.
Cause the other night I was given the statistics, you know, 76% of the teams that win game one, win the cup, but both Kelly Rudy in 93 and Kevin BX in 2011 had won nothing.
And in fact, Kevin, this is the anniversary, June the 4th of Kevin's Alex Burrow scoring 11 seconds into OT.
And they were going wild in Vancouver.
We had cameras everywhere.
on Granville Street, over at the CBC Plaza, and also in Surrey.
And we were showing all these thousands and thousands of fans, and the Canucks were up 2-0.
And I'll always remember, Bob, Tim Thomas had, you know, gone way out of his net, kind of screwed up the whole play.
But he just skated off fast and determined, and they had cameras on the Bruins coming down the corridor to their dressing room, and nobody looked one bit alarmed.
So, you know, you can't read too much into a game, although...
I think tonight, if Carolina doesn't get this series tied, you'd be in an awful tough hole.
Yes, I'm sitting right beside it.
Right.
I am literally...
20 feet from it.
stormy literally there was a hurricane and a monsoon rain right so that seemed to me to be a sign that they were going to get it done the hurricanes the weather was kind of an homage to the hurricane siren and the whole bit but of course Edmonton found that way and it's funny I just saw and I didn't bring it up with Aaron Ward
But when I literally think his puck was out over the glass when they scored, I don't know if it was the 1-0 goal or the 2-1 goal in the deciding game.
But anyway, it was a hell of a comeback.
I remember interviewing Doug Waite, who was with Carolina, of course.
