For a lot of people it is.
But do you know what?
That's such a Kerry thing.
Like Morris Fitzgerald had that same thing of just playing, still playing for St Mary's so far after his inter-county career.
Brian Sheehan.
Like how many videos did you see when Brian Sheehan was well into his 40s and he was kicking, did he play in goals at one stage and he was still kicking these incredible, incredible, like the best kickers still separate themselves from everybody else from being able to do it.
Ciarán MacDonald, Colin Corkery.
they do really kind of stand out and of all the things and i'll change my mind on this next week after i've seen him again but the thing that stands out most to me about david clifford is the extraordinary like he kicks the ball so high and yet it clears the crossbar by about two yards so he kind of has the ball on a string like he he has the kicking technique so incredibly well off
It really is brilliant.
Like his ball control is incredible and the ability to show the ball and go past somebody.
But other people can do that.
And catching the ball over his head.
Remember the final against Galway when he pulled a few down.
You don't see that very much, but it's there too.
But to me, the one that every time I see it, it's a kind of a wow thing is the dexterity of his kicking.
that he's kind of running and almost shielding the ball with his right hand.
And then in a motion that doesn't look too dissimilar to his solo motion, with only a small bit more back lift, he puts this kick that goes so high up into the rafters and kind of eventually whistles down and clears the crossbar by two feet.
I'm not surprised that he says that he'll still be down the pitch kicking the ball because he's obviously worked at it.
And to work at it that much,
He obviously enjoys it.
