I'm listening to lots of parents terrified about what's going to become of their children.
So this week, Joe, on two occasions, you used the phrase crying off to describe Ian Madigan, who withdrew from a recent rugby podcast.
I've always found this phrase crying off to be strange.
It's such a dismissive way of describing someone's need to change plans.
Hurt people hurt people.
And I just wanted to check, Joe, are you OK?
It was just how you said it.
It felt unnecessarily pointed.
It's almost like I'm mad at him.
He cried off.
The dismissiveness of it, the inconvenience of it all.
Does Joe think there's something wrong with crying?
Can I psychoanalyse you?
Or perhaps is he getting more likely at some abandonment issue of his own?

And I guess implicit in it is a kind of a... You're not really buying the reason.
