There's a lot of pressure to get them built very fast.
You're up on steel beams.
You can get seriously injured.
It's very hard, hard work.
The hours are much longer.
And, you know, Matt tells stories of just intense physical labor and real danger with real injuries.
He fell off a roof and ripped his arm off his body and had it reattached.

But even despite how difficult the job was, Matt and other commercial roofers still had enough work and a decent salary and benefits to hang on and to build a good, solid life.
