Um started gardening from scratch there and um yeah, pretty quick
developed a a love for horticulture.

Yeah, well the name is um intentionally provocative.
Um everybody in Autipotti knows George Street.
And yeah, the orchard is maybe um the the word I use for lack of a better term or for a more in a more um all encompassing term, but yeah, we are um a diverse orchard.
We have twenty five plus species.
Uh
fruiting trees, shrubs, vines.
So I guess there's a a fundamental difference there where yeah, people might think of a archetypal orchard being freestanding trees and quite wide spacings.
Yep.
Um where pretty tight and yeah, mate with the additional layers of vines and shrubs and then also the um diverse herbaceous layer, yeah, it makes for quite a different experience.
In a um yeah, I I think our goal is to broaden the the understanding of what an orchard can be, especially in a urban context.

Uh in in some ways and that that's kind of been the uh how we started with that the definition of a of a food forest and the different layers, seven different layers, but
I think we've shifted a bit with that where we realize the limitations in a temperate climate of producing um
calories the further the further down into the shade you go.
Yeah.
Um so it's more of rather than a a
a a food forest or or even a forest edge, which implies a kind of linearity.
