My mom was 25, my dad was 25, going on 26, and... How old was your sister?
Two and a half.
And so my dad was 25, left with a two-and-a-half-year-old and a one-year-old, and my aunt moved in to take care of us.
And so, you know, I kind of...
of getting passed around a lot, but my aunt ultimately moved into our house, and, you know, for a long period of my life, that was my motherly figure.
Even if you were explaining to me who she was, it didn't mean that my, like, emotional side understood that.
It was like, well, this woman, this is my caregiver.
Oh, this is your aunt.
It's like, well, what does that word mean to me?
What does the word mom even really mean?
You're just going off the top of your head.
instance yeah and so uh yeah so she lived with us for five or six years when you say you got passed around what is that what do you there's a lot of family that you're conscious of well a lot of family that was helping out so you know but i'm saying
not that i'm i'm conscious of no okay i mean i i will meet people not not so much anymore but in my teens and maybe early 20s i would meet family members that or friends of family members who i didn't really know who would be like i used to watch you every tuesday and i would just be like oh that's crazy like oh you don't remember like doing this and you know i you don't because you're a kid but um that would just be what informed me now of being like
Oh, okay, yeah, for sure.
Like, my dad worked, and, you know, people would have to pitch in in the family to help out.
If my aunt had to go do something, you know, she had her life, too.
So it was, um, not in a bad way, kind of in a great way, getting, like, passed around like that and experiencing other people, but it's not, like, something I remember.
I think there was that.
I mean, I think I was also told of who my dad used to be before she passed away versus who my dad then was before.
