Garda Christy Riley was on his way back to the station after being in court in Galway City.
The man running in front of the two guards was John Shaw.
He had somehow escaped.
Shaw was quickly returned to his cell.

In the other room, Shaw's accomplice Evans admitted to being in Arklow and British Bay, but nowhere near any missing girl.
His timelines didn't add up.
