Gardaí now knew that Shaw and Evans had dumped Elizabeth's remains in the sea.

But they wanted to know how and where.

Sean Evans brought Gardaí to where they'd stolen a lawnmower from a shed.

They'd tied this to Elizabeth's body, rowed out to sea, and threw her remains overboard.

With Elizabeth's remains now recovered, and with Sean Evans having confessed to abducting, raping and murdering Elizabeth, everyone thought justice would take its course.

No one could have imagined, least of all Elizabeth's family, that almost 50 years after she was taken from them, they'd find themselves fighting for justice for Elizabeth.
