The best way, believe me, for the Irish working man to serve Ireland in this country is to keep strictly sober and
To mind his employment, to attend well to the Catholic education of his children.
To live frugally, to practice economy, to become a respectable member of society.
He will then have a voice, and a voice that will be heard in the land, when he comes to use the franchise, he will benefit his fellows, and do something real and tangible in the Parliament of England to serve Ireland.
The victim of the secret society agitators is kept in his vices and drunkenness.
