And then he answered a couple questions in a very dismissive way, and it was very awkward, the whole thing.
So the next week, my wife and I comboed for a story.
She covers state politics and the state, and I covered LSU, obviously, and the two sort of like are woven together.
Like more, when I say this, I'm serious.
I've never seen anything like it.
LSU football and Louisiana politics, it's like PB&J.
They go together and they're very tight.
Everything's interwoven.
So we did a story together about how the movement to save Les Miles worked all the way up to the sitting governor at the time in the state and how the governor had a role in saving Les Miles after the game or at least during the week leading up to the game.
And Jimbo Fisher was mentioned and all this stuff was mentioned, right?
We had a great detailed story.
And I think after that story ran is when I got pulled in to get a talking to about that story.
And, you know, if the story would complete BS, I would have probably just got called by the SID and yelled at and told I would never speak to anybody again.
But the story was true.
And so, of course, they pull he pulled me in for like more.
And I say ass chewed out.
It was more of like a.
hey, we just want you to understand like where we were and where we are sort of thing.
I think involving Louisiana politicians, especially in the governor in a story like that was a pretty big deal.
And probably a sitting athletic director was probably a little fearful of what else would be written potentially in what politicians would be involved in a future story.
