Like sometimes I realize that I've gotten too close to this person.
And those are really hard moments when you have to report something and something happened to me in the fall, last fall, that involved being close to a source and having to report a negative story around that source.
And those can be difficult things.
But nothing can top that.
building strong relationships with the people in the industry.
And that takes hard work and determination of meeting people when you don't really want to, of going to an event that you don't want to, of going to a conference or even a game that you don't want to.
Of staying late to talk to somebody because they can't meet with you into a certain hour.
All these things are important to building relationships.
And so it's just like, I think the through line is working really hard.
But also the through line is relationship building.
But really, I didn't understand that.

Definitely when I got down to Baton Rouge is when I really understood about trying to establish relationships with these people.
And the good thing in Baton Rouge, just like a lot of Southern places, especially South Louisiana, is that the people love to talk, love to drink, love to party, love to eat.
So it was easy for me to establish relationships because usually it revolved around alcohol and food, you know?
And so that that's where I really like sunk into that, you know, and so I would I would say that that those are the through lines that I would say are through a lot of my career.
