So you injected like a little bit of empathy into the process.

You watch it go down with someone receiving less than another person.

Exactly.

To see what happens once you've observed that.

What's going on psychologically there when we observe someone else taking this moral high road, making a decision that's more fair, and then we're more likely to make a more fair decision?

Sounds like a fancy mathematical way to describe what I would just call empathy, right?

There's a couple more things I want to ask you.

Is the takeaway here that if we visibly model fairness, like we can nudge others into a more egalitarian society?

And the perhaps more uncomfortable question, does this mean we're maybe a little more morally malleable than we think?

Like we can learn to reject an unfair advantage the same way we can learn to embrace it?
