I mean, I know they won the, you know, I know Light won the Super Bowl with Brady, but they might have moved like they they they would have been in the quarterback wasteland trying to find somebody, yet he's come in and clearly been in the top half of the league.
Some would say he's top ten with how he's played some of these years.
And I think he wants them to recognize that.
They looked at it and said, hey, we do recognize it.
You know, I I've seen reports.
They offered him over $50 million on a two-year extension.
He still has one year left.
So they're saying, hey, that's three years.
He obviously wanted more than that.
The wild part about that, Dan, and you know this, most of those guys want shorter term deals.
You know, like you know, bet Baker's kind of betting on himself.
This year, I guess, but he could have done the two year deal and then had another chance in a couple years when he's 35 to get another deal.
So a lot of times those guys want shorter deals.
That's not Baker.
I think Baker wants a contract that says he's gonna be in Tampa for a long time, as opposed to the chance to go hit the market again in a couple years.
Yeah, the it's it's incredible.
It it's the the Buffalo Bills at the Houston Texans, you know, two teams that won playoff games.
They were in the divisional round last year.
So it's very, very cool to start this season with, you know, Josh Allen, CJ Stroud.
They've played some incredible regular season games in recent weeks.
