Um, you know, especially with if you think of things like plastic, which is so it's it's everywhere but we hear about all the issues, you know, with plastic and in um parts of the human body and water and you know, microplastics and

soil, all sorts of things.

So I think people's mindsets are shifting in that way.

Yeah.

And and that includes using your green button, you know.

So a lot of people um who uh

not confident that they would be able to manage the new system with their volume, have found that actually the green bin that gets picked up weekly has meant that what goes in the red bin is sufficient because, you know, the landfill was filling up with a lot of, you know, all all all around the country they do surveys and get different different stats, different percentages, but they generally sit around fifty percent of waste going to landfill.

landfills, um household waste I should say, 'cause um construction demolition waste takes up a lot of landfill.

But um was around fifty percent or so.

So getting that out of the landfill, using it as a resource, turning it into compost is is a really good thing too.

Yeah, so for Dunedin's stuff that goes in Dunedin.

So currently that's getting processed in Timaru.

Yep.

Um with the the infrastructure and the and the composting.
