And today it all fell for us.
You know, we had the defensive solidity.
The two front players worked unbelievably hard to help the team defensively.
But, of course, then they were very, very dangerous when we had the ball.
And...
I'm delighted, of course, with the victory, but I'm not that surprised because I think we've been threatening to do that for quite a long time now.
I think it would do a lot, and I think also the crowd, our crowd and the support we have, which is fantastic.
We brought a lot of people here today.
I think they also appreciate not just the goals, they appreciate the work rate and the fact that Christian today was working so hard in the other aspects of his game as well, and they were singing his name, which is fantastic, because, of course, after missing a penalty, he perhaps rightly, many people would say, got some stick from the crowd, but on this occasion they've turned very quickly, singing his name, and that was fully deserved, I thought.
Yeah, excellent.
I've got to say that I wouldn't criticise any aspect of our team performance today.
I thought that we defended well, as the clean sheet would suggest.
In fact, that's our third clean sheet away from home.
which is a good performance by the standards.
But I think that the discipline in the team was just what we're looking for.
The work weight was what we're looking for.
The only problem is that we can only enjoy this victory for a short while because then we've got to go again.
Next week, if we don't get a result against Swansea, we're going to be disappointed again.
I think all we've done so far possibly is to extricate ourselves a little bit from that situation we were in after seven games.
No goals, no points, seven defeats.
