So if it wasn't for my grandmother, I would probably be at one of those two places.

No, I mean, my grandma, they struggled in Mississippi.
So, like, they knew, like, the meaning of nothing.
You know, not having anything.
Yeah, you know, seven kids at that time, it was like.
My grandpa would tell me he would pick cotton and then come home with 15 cents and keep a nickel for himself and give his mom a dime.
He could go to watch two movies and get a popcorn and get a pop and have a penny or something left over for some junior mints or something.
We appreciated everything, but we didn't know we didn't have a whole lot.
We had everything we needed.
So it was one of those things, as you got olderβ
