I spoke to Sophie about some of the online hate that you both copped regarding the 10-year age gap between you when you publicly shared your relationship.
Can you take me back to the moment when you were faced with those comments and how it would feel for you when, yeah, you're also an elite athlete and you need to go out and perform?
How do you and Soph bounce back from negativity like that together?
Yeah.
In late 2024, you called out body shaming that was personally sent to you by raising your Guernsey and pointing to your stomach after kicking a goal.
I saw the photo.
It's a very, very passionate photo and looks like you got a lot of emotion in that moment.
Take me back though to the message that you received.
I'm not sure on what platform or what it was, but how did you feel that day when you read that message?
In your DMs.
It's just shocking to me that people are worrying about the way you look whilst you're playing AFLW and why we're commenting on anybody's body at the end of the day.
It's just awful.
Do you think that men that play in the AFL are held to the same standards?
