I was in a two-year relationship with a woman at work.

It ended when I quit my job and I ghosted her on my last day at the office.

I blocked her on Instagram and stopped replying to her messages.

The dynamic between us became too overwhelming and confusing and we were hurting one another.

And because I'm a conflict avoider, I rationalized that a ghost was the easiest way to get out of that relationship.

I recognize that I should not have done things that way.

I actually reached out to her years later to apologize and tell her I wanted to explore things further again.

Safe to say she wasn't interested in me clearing my conscience, which is fair enough.

But I still think about her to this day.
