We shot around the gym, I think we met with some of the media and, you know, finished up, closed up the gym and left.
And, you know, not too much further after that, you know, Shaquille began to realize
my responsibilities my job that kind of thing the resources that i had were not quite adequate so basically i didn't have a car i was using my girlfriend's car to haul things around to practice areas and stuff like that so he decides to uh make it possible for me to get a truck so i get this little ford ranger
And I'm excited.
Hell, I got something to haul my stuff around in now, you know?
And so he gets me the truck.
So I slap these license plates on it that say, thanks, Shaq.
He just loved the hell out of that, of course.
So as a routine, he would call me up or whatever.
needed to get in the gym, needed to play, needed a basketball, those kind of things.
And occasionally we would go down in the airport area in Westchester and visit this pizza place that I knew of.
It was my hangout.
And so Shaquille, we would take the truck, and Shaquille couldn't fit in the front of the cab, in the front part of the truck.
So he would grab a chair, a lawn chair, whatever chair was there, throw it in the back of the truck in the bed, and we would leave and go to the pizza place with him sitting in the back, waving at everybody.
Like his own damn parade, you know?
Just, you know, he would love the attention.
