You know, one of the things about certain Latin countries, no matter where the political leanings are, music is a major factor.

And there was music everywhere.

I was born and I was listening to music before rock and roll existed.

So my influences as an early age were big band, Latin jazz, and then of course we had the influence of Dizzy Gillespie.

But there was a lot of entertainment in Havana.
