As Israeli ministers now on television announcing, say, we want the hostages back, we will accept, you know, phase one.
But phase two, we're uncomfortable with it, even though they will have to vote and ratify it.
So probably they will ratify part of it.
I'm not sure they will ratify the whole of it.
And why do I say this?
Because we have a precedent.
Israel signed a ceasefire deal with Lebanon.
Two months ago, a month and a half ago, they violated 100 times, according to the United Nations, the ceasefire deal because they had a clause inside the deal, which exists also in this clause, that Israel has the right to resume bombing Lebanon or Gaza whenever they want it.
And that is part of this deal as well, that Israel, if they feel that somebody is moving in the wrong direction with an object that might be suspicious, they have the right to bomb again and again.
Not only in Lebanon, they violated the ceasefire a hundred times, they bombed UN bases.
basically stations.
They bombed and injured UN personnel.
Basically, you have soldiers who belong to the international community who are part of a mission called the Unified Mission, a peacekeeping mission.
They were also bombed by Israelis in Lebanon.
So do I believe that this Israeli government will respect all part and all phases of this deal?
I do not.
Never.
