I don't think there's any good way that this ends and there's no gentle way out of this.
It's just always difficult for people to imagine things being drastically different, meaning catastrophically different from what they're accustomed to.
But if you've lived through COVID,
you know that the whole world can turn upside down in a week, right?
You experienced it personally.
Most people alive today know from experience things can turn upside down in a week.
I don't see any way that we're living in the same world that we're living in today as I record this by October.
