I think that's one of the things that Gavin and Stacey sort of managed to capture so well was those kind of,
sort of unruly, weird, but safe family parties.
It's sort of really, it was so good at that, you recognise it where you go, God, everyone knows somebody like that.
And the name Thelma just gives it a real twist.
How is Thelma now, she's back.
Yeah, well, because you've gone through it, so all the shame is sort of meshed away.
But it's probably not dissimilar to the... I think if you worked with people for so long, there's probably no improv scene that you could have done in Gavin and Stacey that you'd have been afraid to do.
But if somebody had gone, oh, I'm not sure that's working, you would sort of trust the collective.
Like no one's... When you work for someone for a long time, you realise no one's out to get you.
Whereas when you're young and you're doing something creative, you're so scared that any kind of criticism you assume it's because they hate me and I'm a fraud and I'm out of my depth and I shouldn't be here and I don't belong here and sort of breaking through that.
It can be very inhibitive.
And so many people don't ever get through that.
because, you know, we're kind of British, you don't want to make mistakes.
