Shadi describes the scene she witnessed while she accompanied her mother to a hospital for cancer treatment.
They passed government buildings, military bases and centres for Iran's Revolutionary Guards, shattered by US and Israeli airstrikes.
Their lives too are now caught in the anatomy of this war.

And Shadi says her seven-year-old niece wakes in the night in fear from the bombs.
Shadi wants to see the regime fall, but this situation is difficult too.
Every two or three days I make a dessert or a cake, she says, so that I can stay connected to life.

The people coming out of Iran look gray-faced and pallid from the terror they've experienced this past week.
They bring with them stories of airstrikes hitting close to their cars as they journeyed out of the country, of intense bombardments in the cities that they've come from, many with stories of civilian casualties, saying these airstrikes are landing in dense residential neighbourhoods.
There are also many people going back into Iran.
Scared, of course, they say, to go back into a country at war.
But with communications largely down, they need to know if their loved ones are safe.
And going back is the only way to reach them.

A regular stream of minibuses arrives at the Turkish side of this remote northern border with Iran.
They're full of Iranians who are crossing back into their country at this time of war.
