We ended up losing in a one-game playoff.
We didn't win our division in Oakland.
We went and lost three in a row in Oakland.
I got to play the Orioles in a one-game playoff.
But we had a really good team and was a part of something that I thought was going to be good again, but just didn't work out.
But it's an interesting day.
A lot of emotions, man.
A lot of different feelings.
Yeah, I think it injects a ton of life, not just into the clubhouse, but into the whole organization when you make those kind of improvements.
And it comes with the cost, right?
Part of that cost might be a teammate you have gets traded the other way.
That happened, you mentioned, 2013.
We had acquired different guys, and one guy that we ended up trading away was Jose Iglesias, who was our shortstop, who later ended up going to the Tigers, and we ended up facing the ALCS.
And now you see the kind of career he's had, but
You know, a good young kid, but that's the cost of going out and getting guys.
And, you know, when we sat there and we acquired Jake Peavy and Matt Thornton, it was like this huge shot to a team that already felt like we were going to the World Series.
So it's definitely an adrenaline boost, and it can – but you have to be – I think you have to be good.
in order for it to be a true adrenaline boost.
I think the other one's just a facade.
I think if you're a sort of good team and you get a new player and you're like, that can wear off because you're not good as necessarily you think you are.
