didn't have a lot to do and then all of a sudden he gets called into action and it's just a brilliant save you know he sees it late and his reaction his wingspan that he's got keeps united in the game i think i mean i said before the show you know the best goalkeeper
Yeah, it's one thing you would talk about before the game, do not let Coutinho shoot.
Do not let him get onto his right foot in this position.
So he needs to be closed down, but it looks like David just doesn't panic.
It just looks like I've got it all the way and I know what I'm doing.
And that's the mark of a great goalkeeper, like I said.
Not a lot to do.
When he is called upon, he produces two great saves.
Yeah, Jordan Henderson mentioned it in his interview, just like that rhythm.
And in the past few weeks, Liverpool have had that rhythm, and it's very hard to defend against.
Rotation with the front players, the full-backs keeping the width.
And you've seen when Lallana comes on, it's not just his performance, but he makes players play around him.
So all of a sudden, Coutinho looks quicker on the ball, Firmino showing, and they have them little triangles where they're combining, and it's so much harder to defend when they have that rhythm.
What about Daniel Sturridge tonight?
Do you agree, Ryan, with that, that they look perhaps better without Sturridge?
Well, it was very difficult for Sturridge tonight because it was so slow, first half.
So he's against Smalling and Bailly, he's back to goal, and it was difficult for him to create anything.
Once Lallana comes on, if that's Sturridge coming on into that with Lallana, then he may have created a few more chances.
But, yeah, Firmino off the ball and defending from the front is much stronger.
I'm not ducking the question.
