That was precisely why I needed to be in that room because like you feel a little out of depth.
You feel major imposter syndrome.
You feel like I don't belong here.
The funny thing is the other people in the room, they didn't treat me like that.
They treated me like they treated everybody else, including the CEO of Cleveland Clinic and the British Special Forces guys and the Navy SEALs and all of the students.
And so you think like, man, it was all in my own head.
Now, it was good because I felt like I learned a ton.
I got to meet some amazing people.
I got to have these great, deep conversations with super thoughtful, accomplished people.
But it's way better, I think, to regularly go into spaces like that where you feel, I don't know if I belong here.
Like, what is this?
But then you realize, hey, they're actually just people too.
They're super accomplished people, but they're just people too.
We're having conversations as humans do.
I should do this more often.
So I think it was just a signal to me like, dude, you should try to put yourself in more of these rooms more frequently because it's a great way to get past this thing of feeling, do I belong here?
Actually, yeah, I think I'm good.
And then have conversations with these brilliant people.
That's how you learn.
That's how you grow.
