You're a prisoner of recency bias right now.
We didn't see Giannis Antetokounmpo play last season.
He was resting.
This guy's gonna come back motivated and focused next season.
So because you didn't see him in your mind, you're going, he's not Giannis no more.
He's very much still Giannis and he could have played.
And obviously they were focused on getting the most bang for their buck in this trade.
And him coming back a little early would have risked it because he's old school.
He's gonna leave it out on the line and play extremely physical.
As far as the magic, I think offensively there's still struggles there.
It's a great young core, but again, it's a group that you're on the fence of getting over that hump.
I think right now we haven't heard anything about Steph wanting to leave Golden State.
I think if anything that just everybody else speaking out or wanted to see somebody go over there and join him.
He's a bit of a throwback in that scenario because as a player normally at this age you say well if it's not working let me go get a ring and he's had loyalty there in Golden State that he's not going to shake or waver with.
They're going to have to do it the old school way.

some guys step up and play big roles and go from averaging 17 points to a net 20-point range.
And again, Steve Kerr and his system, they've been pretty darn good.
So Golden State's always been a tough team.
