I mean, there are a lot of players that have dealt with it.
Yeah, they'll tell me he's caring, he's empathetic, but he has blown the doors off me plenty of times because he expected more from me or he knew I was making some decisions that were hurting my career.
And there's always going to be some tough decisions.
And I think even when it comes to those points,
uh, now down the road that people will understand, um, that I'm making them because I feel like the best interest of the Vancouver Canucks.

ending up in this position, which I said I really respected them for.
I learned a lot through that process, and that's no different of people that we want to bring in.
It's going to be thorough, and it's going to be somebody that whatever department we feel we need to fill something, it's going to have to check a lot of boxes and go through a process to get there.
unique um abilities having already run the team right is there is there a specific profile you look to like replacing yourself to do those duties oh yeah 100 i mean i i it's not i'm not fine trying to find somebody like me i'm trying to find somebody that that i know i can trust to continue to to uh to shape a team the way they feel uh need be but obviously i'm
the priority is the development of our young players.
And I think that is what I've always maintained.
I mean, we won a championship with a very young oriented group.
So I think you can, you can win to develop and develop to win.
Um, most certainly, but it, it doesn't have to be, I want somebody to have the autonomy to do things, make decisions just as I did.
Um,
and help them grow and support them.
So that's going to be an important hire for us.
That was one thing that I think through this whole process and the interview process is a lot of the discussions were, where are we good?
Where can we be better?
