It doesn't mean he's not an accurate passer.
It means that they're taking more shots down the field.
And Ben Johnson calls these plays.
He calls aggressive plays, that he takes shots down the field.
And I'm sure that Ben knows over the next three weeks against these playoff teams and the possibility of the playoff,
And when he calls these plays, you have to identify pretty quickly that the home run ball, the big aggressive play, is off as soon as the snap is taken in terms of coverage and everything like that.
And he's got to be able to come down and go to his guys underneath, hit those two great tight ends out in the flats, utilize DeAndre Swift in the passing game, things like that that's going to make and break, I think, over the next three games.
I don't think it would surprise a lot of people if this team is 10-7 when the season's over.
They're going up against three teams that have had a great year, 49ers on the road, seemingly feel unbeatable there.
And then you have the Lions and the Packers, both two teams that beat them already this year.
So you have to really find out what this team is made of, what Ben Johnson does in adverse conditions against two interdivision opponents that feel like they've owned them.
So that's a big part of this.
I can't wait for Saturday night and what the next three weeks hold for this team.
I feel like he's there.
In my opinion, he's one of the top five quarterbacks in this league.
You know, he unfortunately has dealt with some injuries, some things that are nagging, not that have kicked him out of the season, but have been prolonged, you know, some stagnant times.
I think the addition of Josh Jacobs has been huge.
You know, the influx at wide receiver in and out.
I think losing Tucker Kraft was a big deal for him.
But I just think he's really at ease in Matt O'Fleur's offense.
