It's going to cost us a lot of money, but the chairman's backed us and said, look,
I'll put the money in, I'll pay everyone's, honour everyone's contract till the 30th of June and then we'll see where it goes from there.
Yeah, the players are being furloughed to take, you know, off the government scheme, which I think is right to do.
And then the chairman's back to us a million percent to say, look, I'll pay the way until it's sold otherwise.
Yeah, I think a lot of people spoke about Bury in this situation.
Bury was a different...
It's a different situation, really.
It was run badly.
Let's have it right.
But in terms of clubs now potentially going to the wall because of this, there's a few views on this I've got, Jay, that I think if you couldn't afford to pay March, April...
March and April's wages then I'm sure there's been a bit of an issue and especially May further along the line because you know listen some clubs have an average wage bill of two million pound or 1.8 million pound whatever it may be now if you can't afford to pay your players in April and May I think there was a situation brewing anyway but yeah listen I'm fearful that you know I don't want to see any clubs go out of business as Gary said you know Betty's close to my heart as well as is and
we've seen it go for different reasons but I think if they can sort of help and how they help is I don't know but making sure that no clubs go to war because there's potentially going to be 10, 12 clubs
Yeah, I can't get it to be fair.
I think, obviously, with players that you know, you're involved in Salford, you've got plenty of players like most clubs have.
It's a trust element, but I think for me, one thing I wanted assurance was the club was in a stable position when I went to Plymouth Argyle because of the situation I'd had to deal with at Bury.
Now, listen, there's a lot of stuff I can't say about Bury because I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but in terms of
what Plymouth Argyle have got is different class, and I presume Salford City are the same, but there's a lot of clubs, I don't want to talk about clubs on here, but there's a lot of clubs and players that won't have the respect of the owners because maybe they haven't been paid on time, maybe the money's always light, maybe the bonus is not in, the appearance is not in, so I do stick with some of the players in terms of some owners and some football clubs not doing the business model right.
Guys, we've got next season five players contracted, five, and I've got a squad of 24 that I feel that can compete in League Two.
So there's a lot of, you know, so financially, if whatever happens, we'd be okay.
But I've got a lot of them players who I want to keep.
