LISCO, large-scale combat operations, state-on-state actions, like World War II.
That's a LISCO thing.
And there is COIN, counterinsurgency.
That was Vietnam.
Try to win hearts and minds, get the people on your side, that kind of thing.
I think the reason the war in Gaza is kind of ending up the way it is is that Israel's trying to do something that's in the middle of
And so what they're ending up with is losses, unacceptable losses on the civilian side.
And this general sense of like, we don't know what we're doing and you don't know what you're doing because there is no doctrine for it.
There's no doctrine for this middle of the road thing.
There's coin doctrine.
There's counterinsurgency doctrine.
