You can't do it, and it just doesn't make any sense.

I mean, we don't know what.
Certainly no one in Chapel Hill is going on the record.
But, I mean, multiple, us, the athletic, us as an ESPN.com, you know, what we're all being told from people within the building is it's an HR violation.
And the reality is that, you know, this is something that has kind of dogged Lombardi at other stops.
And, you know, my dad's other job was he was a college administrator.
And so I grew up on college campuses.
Like I've spent my entire life on a college campus.
And we as sports writers, and rightfully so, you know, all we talk about is we talk about Notre Dame and USC and the quarterbacks and, you know, the money and, you know, what are we going to do with the playoff and conference realignment, all those things.
But campus is still campus.
And there's a protocol to it.
And it's a very different culture than anywhere else.
Now, I have never worked or lived in
in an NFL front office.
I don't know what that culture is like, but I know what a campus culture is like.
And a campus culture is a place that is very accepting of being open-minded, but they're not very accepting of stepping over certain lines.
And if Michael Lombardi did that, then he would not be the first person that was put on paid administrative leave or shown the door.
