And the question is, you know, are you going to run it like a professional sports department, which you kind of are,

But are you also going to run it like a collegiate sports department, which is what you actually are?

And right now, I'm in North Carolina standing at that crossroads.

And I'll tell you this, the good people of Chapel Hill, I live in Charlotte, we call it Chapel Hill South, the good people in the city where I am, they will put up with all this in the fall because they always have in order to enjoy the winter and enjoy April with the basketball thing.

And if that's also going bad,

The first game I went to as a kid, my dad was officiating at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, Duke, North Carolina.

And halfway through the game, everybody got up and left.

And my brother and I were like, where the hell is everybody going?

And they were going to watch the brand-new Dean Dome had just opened, and they were all going across the street to watch an exhibition game.

That's what Chapel Hill is.

So they're going to take whatever they can get with football, but what they're not going to take is being embarrassed.

And right now they're all embarrassed.

No.

I said all along I thought this felt like a two-year experiment.

Because either he was going to get bored or it was going to be something like this.

Because, again, whether it's the greatest coach in the NFL or not, you have to still treat it like a collegiate job.

And there's nothing that says that he has done that.

And certainly now we know his administration wasn't doing that.

And so I've always believed that he was just doing this to see if he could do it.

Maybe he was doing this to set his son up for future success.
