Um we've had great goaltending, we've had great individual performances.

I think you've seen Jackson Lacomb, you've seen Leo Carlson, you've seen Mason McTavish, you've seen a lot of these guys take a huge step and um it's awesome to see, I think, for us as a

older guys, you're trying to just guide the ship along here, do the right things, be a good role model and um it's been fun it's been a fun season.

I think the group has really bonded together.

I think there's a you know that before any team could take a step on the ice you need to become a team off the ice.

I think we've done a good job of that this year and it's been fun.

I mean we're in a tough division and uh um we got a lot of tough games and uh I think we've handled it well and all the young guys have uh certainly risen to the occasion no doubt.

Well, luckily enough I've gotten to play uh against them a lot the last couple of years in those line matchups.

So um it's crazy.

Like when you're on the ice against those two guys, like you're in the O zone and you see the pucks grid free and you're trying to score, but in the back of your mind you look over your shoulder and you see them going and you see how good they are, how their instincts are, how talented they are in like d defense against those guys start two hundred feet away from your net and there's very, very, very few players in the league that you have to be like that.

So I know as a line, I remember in Edmonton how much of a challenge it was just like we were trying to score and trying to produce for the team, and you're always thinking in your back of mind defense, defense, defense, because they're so good.

So obviously it's a different test, but I think you know I've been watching some of the Oilers play and I think it's maybe a blessing in disguise to have those guys out for a little bit and get those guys rested up and the rest of the team kind of um get some more minutes and get some confidence in plays, and they've been playing super hard without those guys.

I've been watching the games and um it's gonna be a test for

I mean obviously at this time of year there's different dynamics.

There's teams that are ramping up for playoffs, there's teams that have AHL guys up trying to you know, trying to prove anything they can, and then there's teams like this where guys are getting an opportunity to kind of solidify themselves and line up for the playoffs.

So um every every game pr possesses a different challenge at this point of the season and um it's it's a good test for us tonight.

We have three games at home and I think for our fans they deserve a couple good efforts for us this year.

It's funny 'cause my family group chat had the same conversation.

I think there's no doubt.

I think just the way that he's able to change on the fly with what he has to do to be successful.
