He had a great game last night, great in the face-off circle.
They had two goals just off of one draw, one to start the game.
The starts were something that Bones was bitching about.
He made some comments in the paper basically being like,
you know, some of their young guys a little sleepy off the starts, and he's saying, you're signing these NHL contracts, boys.
I don't give a fuck how old you are, man.
When you're signing that contract, you're showing up to work on time to play, and that has been obviously a big thing.
They were, I want to say, top five worst teams as far as giving up third period leads.
They had 14...
third period leads that they'd squandered uh that was bad and really just i think the main emphasis coming in he said we need to be tougher around our net and uh their goals against was horrendous when he came in i think they've already improved about a a goal per game better but any defensive analytic category you look at they're maybe not huge jumps in improvement but they're improved and they're starting to pile up those wins based on closing out games properly
Although they were up 3-1 and Philly ended up coming back to tie it off that connect me hat trick.
But they ended up getting the win 5-3.
And he's just really proud of that leadership group.
Because they do have some young guys in that locker room.
And he just said that guys are showing up to the rink and you could tell that they're all invested and they all care.
And he says that's part of the battle.
Like if you don't have that, you're not going to have a winning team.
You're not going to have success in the NHL.
So I just think that his spirit...
and his energy that he's bringing to the rink is being reciprocated by the guys, and I think that they appreciate it.
