And there at the time, you know, and I'm sure they'll,
they would disagree with this now but the number of people that have said to me that no no that police sort of made it clear that they weren't interested in sightings from over there they were interested only in sightings from the other side of the coast thames you know the crosby's area all of that kind of thing so i think because
And again, I don't want to go to mention the case sort of thing, but I don't think it's a problem for me to say this, that the case at the time revolved completely around everything happening on the other coast.
And I suppose that if they believed that wholeheartedly, that they would have thought, well, we're not going to find anything here, so why look?
And maybe to search is to kind of undermine their own
their own theory right um yeah and it's come out as i've worked on this case further uh and when we get to later and even into my more recent episodes that are going to be coming out very soon that that the searches that were done up there after urban's body was found were woefully inadequate like woefully inadequate um you know you think about this case
And what's the biggest single piece of evidence that ever came along in this case?
It's Urban's body being found.
Without that body, you've got nothing.
So the biggest piece of evidence comes along.
His body's found.
This is incredible.
I would think you'd be turning that whole mountain range upside down with a fine tooth comb with search teams running up through their hand in hand, searching hundreds and hundreds of meters on either side of his body all through that valley and everything.
And that never happened.
They only searched an area, maybe a hundred to 200 meters, either side of where his body was found.
And that was basically it.
Um, you know, and you think.
It's just awfully inadequate, really.
But I think that this comes back to their belief that, well, no, Heidi's on the other coast, so she's not here.
We'll have a quick look around and see if maybe we might find a murder weapon, but I don't think they ever looked with any real belief that that's where they were going to find her.
