Possibly the furniture under the house belonged to the previous owner.

The buyer may not have taken possession at that time.

If I'm understanding what Frank's saying correctly, after the sale of the house, the owner had seemingly allowed this man to live in the house with his son until the new owners took over.

And then, when the new owners took over, him and his son would have to move on.

GUILT

And that could make absolutely perfect sense.

Except for one tiny problem.

GUILT

The house was sold in 1998.

Is it possible that this whole conversation and story actually took place in 1998, as Frank had stated in the first words of his self-written statement?

GUILT

This would fit logically with the sale of the property.

GUILT

Could this man have simply been describing exactly what he did see,

GUILT
S6 | E26 | A Bit Screwy

A young girl screaming in a car, being attacked, in a Zephyr, in that exact spot as described.

GUILT

But simply over the passage of time, 1998 became 1999.

GUILT
S6 | E26 | A Bit Screwy

I really don't want to discredit Frank's story.

GUILT
S6 | E26 | A Bit Screwy

He's an incredibly genuine guy, and I believe the story.

GUILT
S6 | E26 | A Bit Screwy

But I'm just trying to look for logical ways this can make sense at this point.
