I was looking out the window of the cemetery.

There's a cemetery that goes around this building on the backside.

And I would watch people.

It was the only thing I had because I only had that one book about a slave that I slid back out under the door so somebody else could have something to do.

And I would watch people walk their dogs through the cemetery.

And I looked out there and I was like,

I'm going to die in here.

And like, this is probably where I'm going to go.

And my family's not going to know, you know, like what happened to me.

And by the grace of God, he came into the cell with me, you know, while I'm praying like, God, what did I do to deserve this?

Like, I thought I stood for something that day.

I didn't hurt anybody.

I didn't damage anything.

Like I didn't do anything that would really make me deserve this.

Like, why am I here?

And God said very clearly, I know the path that I have for you.

You'll be fine.

You're going to get out of this.

I'll be right there with you.

Stay where I put you.
