Yeah, last day of August uh it ends with a big high school football win back in Lawton.
So you know it's been a fine a fine month.
Fine month.
Yeah, that I mean, there's so much to be looking forward to.
I would say that the biggest thing I'm looking forward to is just the anticipation of how this team is going to react to how last season ended.
And there and there's the situation of last season ending with Chet Holmgren uh being a bitter disappointment in the Western Conference Finals, with the fact that the offseason ended the way that it did, where uh you lose Lou Dort, Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe, and don't replace that.
With anybody on this current roster that is proven uh in the regular season.
However, you do have this belief and trust in Mark Dignal and in the Thunder to maximize the young talent that they do have and have those guys step up in the regular season.
But it is more of an unknown, making this regular season less plug-and-play than the regular seasons, seasons in the past.
But I think that the biggest thing that people are looking forward to, though, is going to be to
see how uh Chet Holmgren reacts, how he plays against San Antonio specifically.
And personally, I think that you should be looking forward to Jay Dub being healthy and we're kind of reminding everybody that just this time last year, as everyone was compiling their top 100 lists, uh there was feverish debates of is he top 20, is he top 15 in the NBA because of what he did with a torn ligament and his wrist in the NBA playoffs and helping the team get to the the
Championship and win it.
So I I do think that uh that this Thunder season has a lot more intrigue uh from the standpoint of there's more questions, from the standpoint of there's an obvious foil to them uh that this season that they're gonna have to try to maneuver around and the uncertainty around uh what they're gonna look like having lost that regular season production.
Not to say that they can't get that regular season production from somebody else, but whoever will say.
Step up for them is going to be a relative unknown because I know a lot of Thunder fans point to, well, they kind of got better by playing uh AJ and Kasen more with these moves.
You're not going to do that in the regular season.
You're not going to push these guys 33, 34 minutes in the regular season.
So in the regular season, you're still going to have to rely on some unproven talent and can that steal be a 60 plus win team as they've
the last couple of years.
