Looks like cave, but it's really cafe because we stole it from the French.
Taco.
Oh, Spanish.
Taco.
It could be taco or taco, but it's not.
It's taco.
English didn't change anything.
And ballet.
B-A-L-L-E-T looks like ballet, but we pronounce it ballet because it was taken from French.
English is weird, my friends.
They take a little bit from everything and sometimes they change it and sometimes they don't.
And sometimes they make rules that they follow and other times they just throw the rules out the window.

Why does English make everything oh so crazy?
