And like you said, you can't love someone into changing.
And that's the reality.
Love isn't enough.
I wish, oh boy, I wish all we had to do was just love somebody.
But if that were the case, my mother would have changed my father.
She did everything.
She literally would have morphed herself into a pretzel.
And he still said, you're not baked enough for me.
Because when someone just doesn't have that, nothing I do will change that except walking away because that's for me.
And I'm not a fan of walk away no matter what.
I think we're in a time where everything is, I don't like this, so leave.
I don't like that you say this, I'm going to go.
You don't say what I want, so I'm going to leave.
No, no, no, no.
That's just rigidity.
But what I am saying is if I'm not seeing progress and if I'm not seeing that this person has any kind of depth that we can get there, I'm not going to continue to waste my time.
It didn't work in childhood.
It's not going to work now.
