uh impact on inflation and then I guess also the backdrop to that is uh you know some of the voice-verified

not so disappointed with the outcome of the US China summit, um, but more I think acknowledging the reality of uh, you know, what high oil prices mean for inflation, for inflation risk premia, and of course we've made no progress on opening the Strait of Hormuz and so oil's pushing higher too. voice-verified

So, you know, I guess uh you know some of the the experts in the oil field say that you know this can go on probably into June and then things start to get voice-verified

uh, you know, I think quite acute in terms of uh, you know, inventory drawdown and the ability of refineries and the like to voice-verified

continue uh producing and and so, you know, maybe it's just that we need to tolerate, you know, the ongoing back and forth and, you know, supposedly lack of progress and voice-verified

Look forward to, you know, the straight opening maybe next month, but it does does feel like we have been here before and of course oil markets are now reacting to that. voice-verified

And so as you said, oil is up uh on Friday night. voice-verified

And when you look at sort of December twenty sixth, uh, you know, Brent futures for a long uh a long time through the Middle East conflict, they were quite happily sort of trading around that eighty dollars a barrel level. voice-verified

Um and and now, you know, that futures curve has shifted higher and those voice-verified

bar dated contracts, or not not so far, only ni sort of six or seven months away, you know, trading closer to sort of ninety, ninety five dollars a barrel. voice-verified

And so I guess we're starting to, you know, open up that possibility that oil's voice-verified

You know, not coming back to eighty dollars anytime soon and we better get used to uh you know, a price closer to a hundred for the rest of the year. voice-verified
