They're trying to poke it, and it's making noises at them.

And so they decide, well, we're going to go deal with the chickens, and maybe it'll come out of its own accord, and we can deal with it then.

So they go to messing with that, and they do that for a while.

Meanwhile, my blue heeler has just posted up next to this van because it knows that that raccoon is still there.

And so she's just waiting.

Come on, get it.

Yeah.

And so they're out working on doing chicken stuff, and then suddenly they hear the dog start barking.

So my son runs down there.

grabs his pellet gun, and starts looking around underneath the van, and he can't see anything, and he wanders around to the front.

Mind you, the hood's still open on this van.

And he's right in front of the van, and he's looking underneath it, and then he looks up, and right above him, three feet away, is that raccoon.

And so he kind of goes, and jumps to the side, and he's five feet away,

And he raises his pellet gun up and takes a shot at this raccoon.

And in his excitement, forgot that hideover bore is a thing.

It made a nice little dent in the front quarter panel of that van.

Oh.

I was like...

Yeah, I heard about this later.

So after that, the raccoon climbed back into the engine compartment.
