The bullet is seated at the front.
The primer is actually at the back of the bullet.
So the needle in the Dreiser system punches through the back of the paper cartridge, smacks that primer.
I think this is the longest we've ever had a guest and you didn't mention your Prado.
But now your firing pin, the needle, is inside the powder when it goes off.
So eventually you burn through your needles, too.

That's first bolt action.
