And I mean, like I go back and listen to my first podcast sometimes just to really ground myself about how far I've come.

And I'm like, I couldn't even string together two words.

Yeah, I stayed at their house after Anzac Day.

A lot of my mates were out there on that night as well and have told the story sitting in that same seat firsthand about what happened that night and how they had bullets just flying directly over their head.

Explained the whole scene to me, working on their mates, trying to keep them alive.

Ben Robert Smith came in and just calmed the scene down and was just like, he was like, one of my mates explained it to me.

was like he was a point of contact for like we all just felt safer when he was there and that's right and for just him walking around we're all just like okay everything's safe now because they're all still wigged out yeah they're all still thinking what's going on ben was the first one in chat to him everyone's like it's okay ben's here we're safe now no one else is going to die

One of the stories from that night was that Ben ran into a nearby village by himself to try and find Hekmatulla by himself.
