The Angels hired a scout named Justin Boomer, who goes by Boomer Prinstein, in December of last year.
It was a position that they added.
They only had five pro scouts on their media guide from 2025.

princeton they added the baseball spy and that's what he goes by on his twitter account he used to host a podcast called the baseball spy um you know and and from there you know it was a matter of just kind of figuring out what he did and and what we came to understand is he had been in advance of an angel series against the rockies at home on june 1st through june 3rd he was in colorado and
doing an advanced scout of the club and apparently filming from the seats of Rockies coaches.
And the Rockies at the time were...
calling pitches from the dugout.
So, I mean, the signs were coming from the dugout, so there were, in theory, signs to try and steal.
We don't really know exactly what he was filming or who he was filming or for what purpose, but, I mean, you're just trying to deduct through, I guess, common sense there what that might have been about.
