It's like illegally filming, stealing signs.

Um, obviously it's not to this level, but I mean, if you read the article, this guy actually offered some opinions on the Astros back in 2019 that were contradictory to what he ended up doing seven years later.

Um, but yeah, I mean, I think that's kind of, yeah, it's just, it's good when these things get caught, these guys get caught doing this because you don't, you don't ultimately want to see it happen, uh, more.

I mean, I think, like, again, I don't want to, like, report anything, you know, authoritatively on that front just because it's, like, I reached out to the baseball spy on, like, any sort of potential platform available.

And, you know, he did not respond and, in fact, you know, like, locked his social media accounts, even though I followed them already.

And...

So I don't know what was in his head or in his heart or what he was ultimately attempting to do here.

But, I mean, I think you could kind of – listen, if you're filming coaches, I struggle to understand what other purpose there would be other than to try and deduct what signs they're giving the players.

So that makes some sense to me, and I think it's interesting.

I don't want to conflate things that aren't accurate, but I do think it's interesting that the Rockies, around this exact time, stopped calling pitches from the dugout.

You know, it wasn't until June 23rd that Warren Schaefer, their manager, came out and said, like, well, we actually haven't been doing this for a few weeks.

And, you know, told the media, well, finally someone asked me about it.

We haven't been doing this for a few weeks.

And that was on June 23rd.

The series was on June 1st.

And when asked why they weren't doing it, he kind of said he just didn't really want to.

So, you know, I don't know if that played a role.

I don't want to connect these things too authoritatively, but I think like you can act, you know, you can factually state the timelines here.

So, yeah, I'm guessing he was probably trying to deduct signs.
