Also a debut yesterday, the 2026 debut of Shane Bieber.
Didn't go particularly well.
Back-to-back-to-back home runs in the fourth.
He gets chased before finishing four innings.
It's a day where, not to answer the question for you, but the pitch design metric stuff, we're like, yeah, Bieber looked pretty good.
And I'm like...
I don't know that I agree.
The edge rate, so how often he was putting his pitches on the edge of the zone, was the lowest we've really seen it from him.
So, you know, he didn't walk anyone, but if you are not putting pitches on the edges and not walking anyone, probably means you're putting them a little too much over the plate.

And were there any things that you think he can build on from that outing?
